Biofuel Cell Biology Position

The new DOE Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center (GLBRC) has one opening for postdoctoral research on visualization of protein transport between the Golgi and plasma membrane. The position will begin as soon as June 2008 and will be located at the Plant Research Laboratory at Michigan State University.

The position involves the analysis of the dynamics of Golgi derived proteins for the synthesis and secretion of plant cell wall materials. Candidates should have a Ph.D., a record of publication in peer-reviewed journals and a strong background in cellular and molecular biology. Experience in live cell imaging and confocal microscopy are essential requirements.
