Biofuel Proteomics Position
The new DOE Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center (GLBRC) has an opening for postdoctoral research on Golgi to plasma membrane transport in plants. This is a critically important system required for both the synthesis and secretion of plant cell wall polysaccharides.
The position will begin as soon as Dec. 2007. Practical knowledge of organelle isolation as well as standard biochemical techniques is required, as is a Ph.D. in biochemistry, or a related field. Applicants with experience in mass spectrometry based proteomics as demonstrated by peer reviewed publications will be given preference.
